Understanding Bikram Yoga

Bikram Yoga's twenty-six posture exercises systematically move fresh, oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring all systems to healthy working order, just as Nature intended. Proper weight, muscle tone, vibrant good health, and a sense of well-being will automatically follow.
In this Bikram Yoga Workshop you will learn:
- The ideal pose - how you will eventually be able to do it
- But also the reality - telling you what problems you may have as you try to do the pose & clues will help you make rapid progress
- Places you might be tempted to "cheat," thus depriving yourself of the benefit of doing the pose properly
- Learn correct alignment and technique
- Deepen your current understanding of these 26 postures and their benefits.
- Learn the Sanskrit names for each of the 26 postures. We will explain to you, in a light, focused and informative way, how the Bikram series of twenty-six poses will enhance mind and body, relax, strengthen, reshape, and heal all of you in 90 minutes.

Understanding Vinyasa Yoga
with Daniel DeGrood
Vinyasa means breath synchronized movement and can be a fast or slow paced type of Yoga, with an emphasis on breathing. A practice typically starts with sun salutations and moves on to more intense stretching. Throughout a Vinyasa yoga class each pose is balanced with a counter pose & connected together using your breath.
In this Vinyasa Yoga Workshop you will learn:
- How to breath during a Vinyasa class
- Keeping your mind calm during intense postures
- The reality during class Talking with you about what problems you may have & clues that will help you
- Correct alignment and technique
- Bandhas, locks and hand positions
- Deepen your understanding & awareness of your body
